Living in the Power of the Spirit

Some magnify the Word and ignore the Spirit. Some magnify the Spirit and neglect the Word.
Both led to dead orthodoxy and to truth without life and power.
The true course is to recognize:
>The Power of the Word through which the Holy Spirit works.
>The Living, Personal Power of the Holy Spirit Who acts through the Word.
The Word does not work alone. The spirit also, does not work alone.
The power of God is like a power cable, it has two wires
One positive (+) wire and another negative (-) wire can not be separated.
The Word and the Spirit are like two wings of an eagle. Both work coordinately towards the same goal.
The Word is the instrument through which the Holy Spirit does His work.
The Word is the seed the Holy Spirit sows and quickens.
>>Ephesians 6:17, Luke 8:11, 1 Peter 1:23
When the Holy Spirit uses His Word as a sword, the sharpness and keenness of its power is manifested.

God's Work.
God's Work is accomplished by the Holy Spirit through His Word.
Real effective Christian Living is reading and living the Word in the Power of the Holy Spirit
and knowing the Power of the Holy Spirit through the Word.
It is only through the Holy Spirit's illumination of the Word that men can get a real, living knowledge of Christ.
If we want the Holy Spirit to do God's Work in our life, we must listen, read and study the Word of God.
If we wish God to do His work in the hearts of others, we must give them the Word of God.
Rely on the testimony and work of the Holy Spirit Who is working for them, through you.
Neither your testimony or the Word alone will suffice.
The Holy Spirit dwells in everyone who belongs to Christ.
We are the temple of God, indwelled by the Holy Spirit.
>>Romans 8:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19
By silently committing ourselves to into God's hands daily, we reckon that we do not
belong to ourselves, but now we belong to Him.
We let Him take our life and use it for His Purpose.
As we step out of our will and agenda, we will see God faithfully fulfilling His Promise and Will through our life.

The True Christian Life.
Although the flesh is still in us, we are not in the flesh. >>Romans 8:9, 12-13
The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus had made me free from the law of sin and death>> Romans 8:2
To have daily, hourly and constant victory over sin and flesh, we have to give up all self-effort trying to be good.
Without the help of the Spirit of God we are helpless and powerless as ever.
It is the Spirit Power that set us free from the power of sin; He Himself worked out His victory through us.
By letting the Spirit live Christ's Life for us and through us, nothing is impossible and our life becomes a life of possibilities.
The more oppositions and obstacles we face, the more breakthrough and victories we have.
The true Christian Life is an adventure and miracles.

Emptying and Filling.
Holy Spirit is light shining in every dark corner. every sin and weakness
will be seen by the Light of the Spirit. All Truth is also explored by the enlightening of the Spirit.
If we are humble enough, and genuinely seeking the TRUTH, the Holy spirit is ready to reveal the Truth to us.
The Spirit not only reveals the righteousness of God, He also reveals our unrighteousness.
The Spirit of God not only reveals the holiness of God, He also reveals our unholiness.
The Spirit not only reveals the power of God, He reveals our powerlessness.
The Spirit of God reveals not only reveals the love of God, He reveals our lovelessness.
The Spirit of God not only reveals the wisdom of God, He reveals the foolishness of our human wisdom.
The Spirit of God not only reveals the meekness of god, He also reveals our arrogance.
If we repent, release and renounce all our unrighteousness and empty our self, the Spirit will fill us.
Only when we put a ways our own righteousness, the Spirit will fill us with God's righteousness.
>>Philippians 3:4-9, Romans 10:3
Only when we put aways our own man made holiness, the Spirit will fill us with God's holiness.
Only when we put aways our own man made love, the Spirit will fill us with God's love.
Only when we put aways our own man made foolish wisdom, the Spirit will fill us with God's wisdom.
>>1 Corinthians 3:18, 1 Corinthians 25-28, Matthew 11:25
Only when we put aways our own man made human power, the Spirit will fill us with God's power.
>>Isaiah 40:29, 1Corinthians 1:27-28, 2 Corinthians 12:9
Emptying must precede filling
Self must be poured out so that Christ may be poured in.
The True Christian Life can not be lived by a natural temperament and with the natural life
But, it is by the Spirit in the Spirit realm.
The purpose of God can not be done in the power of the natural endowment, but in the person of the Spirit.
The Holy Spirit eagerly desires to do His whole work for each of us.
He will do for us, everything we let Him do.
We must be taught daily and empowered by the Spirit daily to live in the Spirit realm.
We can not live and rely on the fact that the Spirit taught me yesterday.
Each day and every matter is to be solved by the guidance and power of the Spirit.

A Daily Surrender.
The filling of the Spirit is not a once for all event, but a continuous reality in every day of our lives.
It is not only a beginning, but a process.
The Spirit of God wants to fill us.
The loving God wants to give Himself to us; however, He can fill only those who wish to be emptied of self and yielded to Him.
Therefore, active surrender must continue day by day, concerning little things as well as big ones.
If we stray away from His Living Way and fall short of His standard we need to repent,
renounce and release immediately so that He can fill us again.
We should submit our wills to His will each day and every matter.
In every situation there will be conflict between self and God's will.
We must make our decisions on the basis of our constant submission to Christ.
Each day we should walk in obedience to His word by the enabling power of the spirit.
Everyday we must choose to remain surrendered to His will in order for God to fulfill His purpose in our lives.
God is faithful to His promise and persistent in fulfilling His purpose.
He promised to be with me, to live in me and for me.
Practically and personally I find it helpful to begin each day by committing myself to Him for Him to fulfill His purpose in me.
I do not belong to any people or organizations.
I belong to god and I am His beloved.
He knows my weaknesses and needs.
He cares and fills me with His fullness.
I ask Him to show my lack and need so that I will thirst for Him and trust Him
I ask Him to cleanse me from any blockages that hinder His work in my life.
He promised me that He will not leave me nor forsake me, and He has been.
This can be your experience also as your daily yield to the Lordship of Jesus Christ in your life.
May you yield each day to Him.
May you be able to look back at the end of each day and know that His Holy spirit has been your guide and your strength as you have yielded to Him.
(extract from R.A. Torrey and Billy Graham)

The Fruit of the Spirit.
The Spirit brings forth Christ like graces of character in the self yielded believer.
>>Romans 14:17, 15:13,5:5
All real beauty of character is all real.
Christ likeness in us, is the fruit of the Holy Spirit's work in us.
God does not promise that He will live a natural human life for us.
He also did not command us to live His divine life with our frail human body.
Many Christians misinterpret the Word of God and misuse the spiritual gifts to satisfy human desires.
That is why they waste their opportunities and time without knowing and enjoying the purpose of God.
>>Why do so many Bible scholars and Bible believing Christians not have transformation of life?
>>Why have so many Christians been touched by the Holy Spirit, but have yet to have transformation and growth in grace?
